HAVEN IAQ

The HAVEN IAQ integrationIntegrations connect and integrate Home Assistant with your devices, services, and more. [Learn more] connects supported HAVEN IAQ air quality monitors to Home Assistant over your local network. Depending on the device, the integration provides indoor air quality and airflow measurements.

Supported devices

The integration supports the following HAVEN IAQ products:

  • Room Air Monitor
  • Central Air Monitor

Prerequisites

  • Connect the HAVEN IAQ device and Home Assistant to the same local network.
  • Install firmware that supports the HAVEN local API:
    • Room Air Monitor: firmware 19 or later.
    • Central Air Monitor: firmware 2.4.2 or later.
  • In the HAVEN app, enable Home Assistant for each device. This enables the device’s local HTTP API, which is disabled by default.

Home Assistant discovers compatible devices automatically. If a device is not discovered, you can add it manually by entering its hostname or IP address.

Configuration

To add the HAVEN IAQ device to your Home Assistant instance, use this My button:

HAVEN IAQ can be auto-discovered by Home Assistant. If an instance was found, it will be shown as Discovered. You can then set it up right away.

Manual configuration steps

If it wasn’t discovered automatically, don’t worry! You can set up a manual integration entry:

  • Browse to your Home Assistant instance.

  • Go to Settings > Devices & services.

  • In the bottom right corner, select the Add Integration button.

  • From the list, select HAVEN IAQ.

  • Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup.

Host

The hostname or IP address of the HAVEN IAQ device.

Supported functionality

Particle count sensors are disabled by default for both models. You can enable them if you want particle count measurements.

Room Air Monitor

The Room Air Monitor provides these measurements:

  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Dew point
  • Carbon dioxide
  • Total volatile organic compounds index
  • Nitrogen oxides index
  • PM1.0, PM2.5, PM4.0, and PM10 mass concentration
  • PM0.5, PM1.0, PM2.5, PM4.0, and PM10 particle count

Central Air Monitor

The Central Air Monitor provides these measurements:

  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Pressure
  • Carbon dioxide
  • Total volatile organic compounds concentration
  • PM2.5 and PM10 mass concentration
  • PM2.5 and PM10 particle count
  • Airflow
  • Airflow duration

Data updates

This integration uses local pollingData polling is the process of querying a device or service at regular intervals to check for updates or retrieve data. By defining a custom polling interval, you can control how frequently your system checks for new data, which can help optimize performance and reduce unnecessary network traffic. [Learn more]. Home Assistant requests updated data from the device once per minute.

Known limitations

  • Communication uses unencrypted HTTP on the local network. Do not expose the device’s HTTP port to the internet.

Troubleshooting

The device is not discovered

  1. Confirm that Home Assistant and the HAVEN IAQ device are connected to the same local network.
  2. Confirm that Home Assistant is enabled for the device in the HAVEN app.
  3. Confirm that the device runs a supported firmware version.
  4. Add the integration manually and enter the device’s hostname or IP address.

Entities are unavailable

  1. Confirm that the HAVEN IAQ device is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Confirm that Home Assistant remains enabled for the device in the HAVEN app.
  3. Confirm that Home Assistant can still reach the device at its configured hostname or IP address.
  4. If a manually entered IP address changed and the device is not rediscovered automatically, remove and add the integration again using the new address.

Removing the integration

This integration follows standard integration removal. No extra steps are required.

To remove an integration instance from Home Assistant

  1. Go to Settings > Devices & services and select the integration card.
  2. Next to the entry you want to remove, select the three dots menu. Then, select Delete.
    • Depending on the integration, the entries are listed under one of the following headings:
      • Devices
      • Hubs
      • Services
      • Integration entries
  3. To confirm, select Delete.
    • Home Assistant also deletes the devices and entities of the entry.
  4. If Home Assistant asks you to restart, restart Home Assistant.
  5. If Home Assistant asks whether to also delete the application credentials, select Remove or Keep.
