Following Assa Abloy, Yale’s parent company, purchasing August in 2017, most newer devices use the Yale Access branding.
Support for devices by August Bluetooth in Home Assistant is provided by the Yale Access Bluetooth integration.
August Bluetooth devices are either rebranded devices or devices that share a common communication protocol, making it possible to use them with the Yale Access Bluetooth integration.
Adding August Bluetooth to your Home Assistant instance can be done via the user interface, by using this My button:
If the above My button doesn’t work, you can also perform the following steps manually:
Browse to your Home Assistant instance.
In the sidebar, select Settings.
From the configuration menu, select Devices & Services.
In the bottom right, select the Add Integration button.
From the list, search and select August Bluetooth.
Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup.
