Test if callable: callable
The callable test checks whether a value is callable, meaning it can be invoked as a function. It returns true for functions, methods, and other callable objects, and false for regular values like strings, numbers, and lists.
In typical Home Assistant template usage, you rarely need to check if something is callable. However, this test can be useful in templates where you work with template macros or need to verify that a value is a function before attempting to call it.

Function signature
The signature is a technical summary of this template function. It shows the name of the function, the values (called parameters) it accepts, and what type of data each parameter expects (for example, a piece of text or a number).
Function parameters that have a = with a value after them are optional. If you leave them out, the default value shown is used automatically. Function parameters without a default are required.
